Town of Banff

“Located in Banff National Park Alberta, Canada is the town of Banff. The Town of Banff may get up to 4 million visitors per year; many of these visitors and residents use our Transit system.

With so many visitors we are working to enhance our transit system, and make it more convenient for users. With the recent purchase of four new hybrid buses we were then tasked with finding the right supplier for the fare boxes to be installed within these buses.

Three different companies sent us a proposal, and it was the proposal from Fare Logistics that stood out above the rest. I have been reading through proposals for different contracts for many years, and I know a good proposal when I see it. It was from reading their proposal that I could tell they could offer the customer care and support that we were looking for in a supplier. Now, after meeting with the representatives from Fare Logistics, it was made quite clear that we were right in choosing them as a supplier. As we have now experienced their attention to detail, their extensive knowledge, and quite simply put, their excellent customer care.

We look forward to working with them, to set up the new fare boxes in our new buses, and to have their continued support for many years to come. Thank you Fare Logistics!”

Star Metro

The following is a testimonial from StarMetro in Tallahassee, Florida, USA:

“StarMetro is the mass transit system for the City of Tallahassee, FL. We operate 65 heavy-duty, fixed route buses and 17 Para transit vans, seven days a week. Our largest ridership population are the college students who attend Florida State University, Florida A&M University, and Tallahassee Community College. StarMetro has 210 employees in our department, and the City employee over 3,000 people and is one of the largest employers in the region.

Our relationship with Fare Logistics began in the summer of 2004 with a demo here in Tallahassee. We have had the Voyager farebox for over a year now, and everyone at StarMetro has been very excited about the change.

Fare Logistics management team is interested in becoming more “customer- driven”. Many aspire, some understand, but only a few truly do. And those who do provide the highest levels of service/quality enjoy the richest rewards. Everyone in the company is devoted to creating a positive experience for the customer and always tries to go above and beyond customer expectations. We have enjoyed the quick, friendly customer service. We are looking forward to expanding our usage of all the features with this system.

That fact that our relationship has not only lasted, but has flourished over this period of time, is most rewarding. We are pleased that you were able to provide StarMetro with a quality product and look forward to our relationship growing and flourishing.”

CARTA

My name is Kirk Shore and I am the Director of IT for the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority.

In 2005 we began an ambitious project to build a Ticket Vending Machine for CARTA that was not in existence. CARTA owns the Lookout Mountain Incline Railway, the worlds steepest passenger railway at 72.7% grade at the top. The Incline has many visitors year round and grosses over 2 million dollars a year. Needless to say a run of the mill kiosk was not going to meet our business needs. Fare Logistics responded to our needs with new and innovative designs as well as an easy to use GUI (graphical user interface) for our customers. In early 2006 we installed 5 TVMs at the Incline Railway. These machines were immediately put to the test during the first peak tourist season in early summer. Not only would the machines have to print more than 3000 tickets daily, they would have to survive humidity over 98% and ambient temperatures over 100 degrees.

Like anything new we and Fare Logistics found new ways to innovate after the initial launch. When challenges appeared Fare Logistics met them quickly and professionally. Fare Logistics was truly our partner in meeting our business needs. We were always able to address issues as a team. We always felt that Fare Logistics prioritized our needs before it’s own needs. The best example of this is one of the suppliers that provided the original air-conditioning for the TVMs internal electronic components did not perform in our environment, it simply could not deal with the humidity. Fare Logistics at their own expense retrofitted our TVMs with new air conditioning systems that would perform in our environment and meet our needs. This retrofit cost Fare Logistics tens of thousands of dollars.

Over the years our relationship with Fare Logistics continues to represent partnership, honesty, integrity, professionalism, and innovative solutions for our business. It is my pleasure to offer an unqualified recommendation to Fare Logistics as one of our valued partners and solution providers.

Respectfully,
Kirk Shore
